Guiding Principles
Layer 3Es (Education, Experience, Exposure)
I think about learning as a combination of formal education plus hands-on experience plus broad exposure. This helps me create a foundation of systems thinking for complex healthcare problems.
Balance Inputs and Outputs
To process all the inputs (book, podcast, conversation) to my thinking, I aim to regularly synthesize into outputs (projects, writings, insights). This forces me to process information instead of just hoard it, and build iteratively with feedback from people.
Reframe Uncertainty as Opportunity
In ambiguous environments, uncertainty represents potential for leadership. This means I look for the unk-unks (unknown-unknowns) through intentional discovery of new spaces to de-risk new initiatives.
